I have served or am serving on the program committees for TPDP 2019, MD4SG 2019, NeurIPS 2019, EC 2019, ICML 2019, FAT* 2019, AAAI 2019, AAAI 2018, ICML 2018, ITCS 2018, EC 2018, WWW 2018, EC 2017, WINE 2017, AGT@IJCAI 2017, TPDP 2017, SBP-BRiMS 2017, and SBP-BRiMS 2016. I served on the program committee for a Workshop on Privacy Ethics, organized by the Future of Privacy Forum.
I serve on the ACM U.S. Public Policy Council in the Privacy Committee and in the Algorithmic Accountability and Big Data working groups. I am also a member of the IEEE Standards Association working groups on Algorithmic Bias Considerations and Transparent Data Governance. I serve on the Future of Privacy Forum’s Advisory Board.
I was the lead organizer the First Annual Data Science for Social Good Workshop (DS4SG) at Georgia Tech in 2019. The workshop highlighted applications of data science techniques to problems of significant societal impact, and aimed to encourage members of underrepresented groups to apply to graduate school in data science or related fields.
I am a Grand Challenges Faculty Fellow at Georgia Tech. This program bridges academia and service by helping undergraduate students tackle large real-world problems.
I co-organized the ISyE Seminar Series for the 2018-2019 academic year, with Mohit Singh. I organized the Simons Institute Privacy Seminar Series in Spring 2019. I serve on the Coordinating Committee for the Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization (ACO) PhD program.
I co-organized a Tutorial on Algorithmic Fairness at EC 2018, with Sam Corbett-Davies, Sharad Goel, and Jaime Morgenstern. I also co-organized a Women’s Mentoring Breakfast at EC 2018 and EC 2019 with Jamie Morgenstern.
