Data Enabled Design and Manufacturing
Historic Academy of Medicine
Data acquisition and analysis is influencing manufacturing technologies and design of processes, products and materials. Decision-making needed for improved productivity depends on novel methods and tools to implement automation. The National Academy of Engineering meeting on “Data Enabled Design and Manufacturing,” hosted by the Georgia Institute of Technology on April 19-20 will delve into big data and manufacturing technologies.
A panel of experts from industry and academia will discuss how various manufacturing industry sectors in the United States are meeting this challenge, and what is the state-of-the-art in technology development for data enabled design and manufacturing. Distinguished speakers from electronics, aerospace, automotive, energy, materials, and medical industries will also discuss leveraging collaborative efforts between academic institutions and industry for developing the tools, methodologies, and knowledge base, necessary for generating a robust manufacturing enterprise.
We invite you to participate in the regional meeting, which will be held at the Academy of Medicine of Georgia Tech, in Atlanta.
