In addition to majors, Georgia Tech also offers minors. Minors are “intended to encourage and officially acknowledge the attainment by students of a fair measure of expertise and knowledge in more than one academic field, with the goal of broadening their education” (Georgia Tech Catalog) and generally require about 15 hours of concentrated coursework in a specific area.
