Our Outreach Efforts

“Paying it Forward”

CONECTech Lab reaches out to the community through involvement in educational and community enrichment efforts. Many of the activities we participate in are focused on providing expanded opportunities to underrepresented students in STEM areas.

CEFGA Expo

CONECTech attends Construction Ready (previously CEFGA) Career Exposition to promote Architecture, Engineering, and Construction among Georgia High school students. To learn more about CEFGA’s mission, visit their website at Construction Ready.

Goizueta STEM Initiative at Georgia Tech (GoSTEM)

Hispanic high school students tour CONECTech Lab as part of the Goizueta STEM Initiative at Georgia Tech.

ACE Mentor Program

CONECTech is involved in the ACE Mentor Program through participation in courses and other educational events. CONECTech Lab participates in ACE Class developing the “LEGO Building Experience Activity” in which students constructed a LEGO structure employing construction management skills.

Future Cities

CONECTech personnel contributes to the Future Cities National Competition through service as judges at the Georgia Regional Level. To learn more about the Future Cities’ Competition mission, visit their website at Future City.

Hispanic Community Outreach
“Promoting construction safety in the Hispanic community”

Equally important is reaching out to the wider community. CONECTech is engaged in the dissemination of research through involvement in community educational activities, especially in underserved groups.
