Reduced functionality for adding new users

The PWP service has encountered an issue that is preventing additional Georgia Tech accounts from being added to the PWP service. This issue should not impact existing users or existing websites. However, the ‘Add Georgia Tech User’ functionality will not be available.

We expect this downtime to resolved within the next 48 hours, or by close of business Wednesday, June 6th 12018.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

New Theme: Georgia Tech v3 Theme

You might have noticed that the Professional Web Presence (PWP) website has a new look and feel. It’s not just you – PWP has introduced a new Georgia Tech theme to prepare for a campus-wide web redesign. Introducing – Georgia Tech v3 Theme!

Developed by the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, the Georgia Tech v3 Theme implementation follows decisions made by Georgia Tech’s Institute Communications regarding an upcoming rebrand. And we want PWP websites to be the first to experience the new look.

Features include:

  • Expanded Visibility and Customization for Site Title and Parent/Grandparent Unit Names and URLs – great for websites placed under a unit or department.
  • Minimized Header/Footer Presence – new Georgia Tech-recommended branding leaves more room for your content to shine.
  • Enhanced Accessibility Support

The Georgia Tech v3 Theme is available for any PWP website to use today! To switch themes, navigate to your Dashboard and locate the new theme under ‘Appearance->Themes’.

Please note that customizations such as widgets will need to be re-organized after any new theme selection.

Later in 2018, all new PWP websites will leverage the Georgia Tech v3 Theme as the default theme!

Georgia Tech Branding Update

As part of Professional Web Presence’s commitment to stay ahead of Georgia Tech’s web branding and identity, the GT Branding (Deprecated) plugin will be replaced by the GT Branding plugin on Friday, December 2nd 2016.

The update process will not be automatic – any website currently using GT Branding (Deprecated) will need to enable the GT Branding theme and disable the GT Branding (Deprecated) plugin.
