  • Custom domain configurations for PWP websites with custom domains

PWP website owners should check their websites after the maintenance window and report any unusual issues, bugs, or behavior to PWP service owners.

Core updates:

  • WordPress updated to WP 5.1.1.

Theme updates:

  • genesis: 2.8.0 to 2.9.0

Plugin updates:

  • ml-slider: 3.11.1 to 3.12.1
  • nextgen-gallery: 3.1.7 to 3.1.11

Maintenance Notes

PWP websites using absolute links on pages to their non-domain URL (e.g. for website with custom domain will no longer work. We advise all websites encountering this issue to log in to their PWP website and update links on pages to properly point to the correct domain (or use relative links).

Multiple domain configuration (for a single PWP website) is no longer supported. Existing PWP websites with multiple domains have been configured to redirect domains. New websites should request extra domains serve as redirects to the primary requested domain.

PWP service owners take every precaution to limit impact to PWP website owners. However, PWP is a product of open-source community-contributed plugins, themes, and functionality. Non-Georgia Tech themes and plugins can change drastically between versions.

We ask that each PWP website owner keep apprised of maintenance windows, check your websites after maintenance for any changes, and report any unusual issues, bugs, or behavior to PWP service owners.
