Tomorrow I will present Efimov–van der Waals Universality for Ultracold Atoms with Positive Scattering Lengths (https://journals.aps.org/pra/pdf/10.1103/PhysRevA.95.032707) from the group of Chris Greene during our weekly journal club. My presentation has two primary goals. I will use the methods and results of this paper to illustrate the current direction of quantum few-body research, including goals and motivations. We’ll also discuss the successes and pitfalls of the approach taken here, and highlight particular areas for further research.
Due to the picnic tomorrow during our journal club time, we’re going to push my presentation to next week. Sorry for the erroneous announcement, and see you next week.
The SPS Annual Cookout is just around the corner! On Tuesday April 17th, please come to the front of Howey for free BBQ, sausages, and appetizers during 11am-1pm! This year we’re hosting a Barbeque SHOWDOWN between Nepomuk Otte, Edwin Greco, and Michael Chapman- all judged by 3 mystery faculty + students.
Stop by to show your support for any of these BBQ gods or simply for the food and fun!
